A Manor Farm birthday is one to remember. Take your pick from one of three types of party, then let the fun begin! 

  • Animal Experience Party. Choose from: Donkey rides out in the Paddock (weight limit 6 stone/ 38kg), Owl holding at Hoots Hollows (ages four and over) or Small animal petting in the Animal Chat Room, followed by a birthday tea in our party room. 
  • Classic Party. Enjoy time on the farm with a birthday tea in our party room. 
  • After School Party. Celebrate with a party tea and fun on the The Burrows Play Area. 

The minimum number of childen for a party booking is 12 and the maximum number of children is 20 (including the birthday child/ren). 

For morning parties, you and your guests are welcome to stay on the farm after the party, until we close at 5pm. Similarly, for afternoon parties, you and your guests are welcome to spend the morning on the farm, from 10am when we open. 

Party Food

All our parties include a cold party tea, which usually includes: a selection of sandwiches (jam, ham and cheese), crisps, a selection of fruit and vegetable sticks, ice cream tubs, plus jugs of water and squash. If you prefer to upgrade to hot food (additional £40), this includes sharing platters of chicken nuggets, fish stars, pizza slices, chips and ice cream tubs, as well as jugs of water and squash. We are happy to accommodate any dietary requirements, including allergies – please let us know about this when making the booking.

Food platters for adult guests can also be added as extras when you book. Adult platters vary but will generally contain a selection of Indian-style savouries, chicken bites and chips. 

Accompanying adults

Each party guest is welcome to bring one adult. This is in addition to the four adults accompanying the birthday child. Please be aware that any party guests arriving with siblings or additional adults not included on the booking will be charged the full entrance price. Accompanying adults are required to stay with the party at all times and all children, in particular childcare and toileting, remain the responsibility of the adults in the party group for the duration of the party. 

Animal Experience Parties

Animal Experience Parties are two hours long and cost £20 per child. The minimum number of childen required for an Animal Experience Party is 12 and the maximum number of children is 20 (including the birthday child/ren). 

When you book an animal experience party you can choose from: 

- Donkey rides* out in the Paddock (weight limit 6 stone/ 38kg and each child must be accompanied by an adult)

- Owl holding at Hoots Hollows (ages four and over)

- Small animal petting in the Animal Chat Room. 

On the day of the party, once everyone has arrived we begin with your chosen animal activity. Before and after the party, you and your guests are welcome to stay on the farm for the whole day.

Included in the price of the party is a cold buffet served in our party room at 11:15am for morning parties and 3:15pm for afternoon parties. This can be upgraded to hot food for an additional £40. 

The birthday child/ren should be included in the number of children on your booking. Additional children up to a total of 20 children can be included on your booking after your party has been confirmed, but all amends must be made by seven days before the party date. Each guest can bring one accompanying adult. The birthday girl or boy can bring four accompanying adults. Additional adults can be added at £10.95 each, if required.

* Please be aware if you select a donkey riding party, an adult must be available to walk round holding their child on the donkey. you will also be asked to choose another ANIMAL EXPERIENCE as your back-up option in case of wet weather.

Classic Parties

Classic Parties are two hours long and cost £15 per child. The minimum number of children required for a Classic Party is 12 and the maximum number of children is 20 (including the birthday child/ren). 

Our Classic Parties DO NOT include an animal experience. On the day of the party, once everyone has arrived you will be able to explore the farm, see the animals and enjoy the outdoor and indoor play areas before heading back to the party room by the main entrance for a party tea.

Included in the price of the party is a cold buffet served in our party room at 11:15am for morning parties and 3:15pm for afternoon parties. This can be upgraded to hot food for an additional £40. The party room will be yours for 45 minutes. 

Also included in the price is one accompanying adult for each party guest and four accompanying adults for the birthday girl or boy.

The birthday child/ren should be included in the number of children on your booking. Additional children up to a total of 20 children can be included on your booking after your party has been confirmed, but all amends must be made by seven days before the party date. 

Before and after the party, you and your guests are welcome to stay on the farm for the whole day.

After School Parties

After school parties can be booked from 4pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and cost £10.50 per child. The minimum number of children required for an After School Party is 12 and the maximum number of children is 20. 

On the day of the party, children will be able to play on The Burrows Play Area, before enjoying a birthday tea in the party room, which is by the main entrance. The party room will be yours for the duration of the party and you will be offered a key so that you can secure the room whilst it's not in use (£10 refundable deposit).

Included in the price is one accompanying adult for each party guest and four accompanying adults for the birthday girl or boy. Additional children up to a total of 20 children can be included on your booking after your party has been confirmed, but all amends must be made by seven days before the party date. 

Please note that this party does not allow children to go beyond The Burrows Play Area onto the farm.

Answers to frequently asked questions

1.Timings for morning parties starting at 9.45am

  • For morning parties, please be in the main entrance at 9.30am, ahead of your guests. If you have booked an animal experience this will start at 10am. The party lunch will be served at 11.15am and the room is yours until midday. 
  • You and your guests are welcome to stay on the farm until 5pm. 

 

2. Timings for afternoon parties starting at 1.45pm

  • You and your guests are more than welcome to spend the whole morning on the farm, from 10am. 
  • Please be in the main entrance at 1.30pm, ahead of your guests. If you have booked an animal experience this will start at 2pm. The party tea will be served at 3.15pm and the room is yours until 4pm 

 

3. Classic parties

  • Our classic parties don't include an animal experience. These parties are self-led and you are free to spend time exploring the farm with your guests.
  • If you have booked a Classic Party starting at 9.45am, your party lunch will be served at 11.15am and the room will be yours until midday. You are welcome to stay on the farm until 5pm.
  • If you have booked a Classic Party starting at 1.45pm, you and your guests are welcome to spend the whole morning on the farm, from 10am. Your party tea will be served at 3.15pm and the room will be yours until 4pm. 

 

4. Animal experience parties

  • When you book an animal experience party, a party host will take you to your animal experience. 
  • It is important to arrive on time for the experience to ensure everybody can take part. Please note that the animal experiences take place approximately 5-10 minutes' walk away from the main entrance.

Donkey riding

  • If you have selected a donkey riding party, any guests exceeding our weight limit of 6 stone/ 38kg for rides will be invited to lead a donkey around the paddock. Safety helments must be worn and each child must be accompanied by an adult responsible for holding him or her on the donkey. In case of wet weather, on arrival we will talk to you about changing the animal activity. 

 

5. Special dietary requirements 

  • Please let us know as soon as possible if any of your guests have dietary requirements.
  • Unfortunately we won't be able to accommodate special dietary requirements if we receive the information less than seven days ahead of your party.

 

6. Gifts 

  • Your child’s presents will be collected as guests arrive and stored in the party room for collection after the party.

 

7. Birthday cake

  • If you are planning to bring your own birthday cake, this can be stored in the party room when you arrive. If you’re bringing your own cake, please remember to bring your own candles and matches, along with a cake knife and serviettes if cutting for party bags.

 

8. Party bags

  • If you have ordered party bags, these will be in the party room ready for your arrival.
  • The contents of our party bags change depending on what we have available in stock. As an example, a standard party bag will normally contain bubbles, crayons, an A5 size colouring/activity book, bouncy ball, stickers and some noisy putty.

  • Please let us know if you have any guests under three years old so that we can select contents appropriately. 

 

9. Music in the party room

  • We don't have the facility to play music in the party room but you are welcome to bring a speaker and play your own music; a plug socket is available. We just ask that music isn't played too loudly.

 

10. Games in the party room

  • The party room unfortunately does not have space for playing party games. To arrange to see the party room, please email [email protected] 

 

11. Decorations, balloons, streamers and party poppers

  • You are welcome to bring your own decorations for the table, but we do ask that nothing is stuck to the walls or tied to the chairs. 
  • If you would like to bring your own paper plates and napkins, please let us know in advance.
  • We don’t allow balloons, streamers and party poppers on the farm because they can scare our animals.

 

12. Supervision of children during the party

  • Accompanying adults will be required to stay with the party at all times and all party children remain the responsibility of the adults in the party group for the duration of the party.

 

13. Need to add more guests?

  • Included in the price you have paid is one accompanying adult for each party guest and four accompanying adults for the birthday child. Please be aware that any party guests arriving with siblings or additional adults not included on the booking will be charged the full entrance price on the day.
  • If you need to add more guests to your party, additional children up to a total of 20 children (including the birthday child and any siblings) can be included up to seven days before the party date. Simply email [email protected] with any changes to your booking and we will arrange to take pre-payment for additional guests. 
  • Unfortunately we may not be able to add guests if we receive the information less than seven days ahead of the party.

 

14. Additional charges

  • On event days, there may be a small additional charge for children and adults who wish to enjoy the activities on the farm either before or after the party. Details of our events can be found on our 'What's On' page of this website. Alternatively, email [email protected] to find out if the date of your party falls on an event day. 

 

15. Food and drink for adult guests

  • You are welcome to bring soft drinks and disposable cups for adults to use whilst in the party room. There is a table in the party room where food and drink for adult guests can be set up. 
  • Alternatively, you can set up a tab in Antlers Bistro and give tokens to your guests to exchange for food and drink. This tab would need to be settled on the day, before the end of your party.
  • Food platters can be pre-ordered for adults at a price of £25. Each one serves approximately five adults.
