Christmas Woodlands 2026

A whole day of Christmas magic for all the family.
Our Christmas Woodlands event is back for 2026, with lots to enjoy throughout the day.
You’ll find us in East Leake, LE12 6LU, just 15 minutes from the M1 and ideally placed for a festive family day out from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

Christmas Woodlands
The Christmas Woodlands is at the heart of the festive season:
- Meet Santa in his magical woodland grotto.

Visit Santa’s Toy Shop and choose a special gift to take home.

Decorate a gingerbread biscuit with Mrs Claus.

Write a letter to Santa and post it in our special North Pole post box.

Make reindeer food to sprinkle on your lawn on Christmas Eve.

The Elves' Workshop
Join us in the Elves' Workshop to make a festive friend:
- Choose your favourite character.
- Bring your new friend to life by adding the stuffing and placing a heart inside.
- Give your cuddly creation a big squeeze, then pop it into a special drawstring bag ready to take home.
Subject to availability, there will be eleven fun 16" plush toys to choose from:
- Baby Blue Patches Bear, Brown Patches Bear, G.I Camo Bear and Pink Patches Bear.
- Cupcake Kitty, Dyno the Dinosaur, Flopsy the Bunny and Mookey the Monkey.
- Holly Hedgehog, Sir Slush and Steve Snowbeast.

Indoor adventure play for all ages
For all-weather fun, take time out in our Indoor Playbarn, Nottinghamshire's LARGEST indoor play centre:
- Climb aboard the pirate ship.
- Discover the secret rooms in the spooky castle.
- Ride on the pedal-karts.
- Play football.
- Explore our multi-level indoor adventure play area, suitable for all ages.
- Enjoy three huge slides.
- Fire at your friends with our fun ball cannons.
- Experience our dedicated role play area and soft play for under fives.
- Dedicated carpeted area with toys especially for under fours.
Socks must be worn at all times.

If you’re a fan of The World of Dinosaur Roar! or just love dinosaurs, you'll love our Discovery Trail:
- Meet Dinosaur ROAR the Tyrannosaurus rex.
- Dinosaur STOMP the Triceratops
- Dinosaur WHACK the Stegosaurus.
- Dinosaur WHIZZ the Coelophysis.
- Dinosaur FLAP the Oviraptor.

On the eleven dates we're hosting our Christmas event:

Adults with Membership continue to visit free of charge.

For children with Membership, tickets range from £22.95 to £28.95 depending on the day of your visit and include a visit to Santa, a gift from the woodland toy shop, a 'Make a friend' activity in the Elves Workshop and all the festive activities in the woodlands.

Our Christmas event will be running:
- Sunday 29 November 2026. Farm open from 8.30am to 5pm. Woodlands open from 9am to 1.30pm.
- Weekends from 5 December 2026. Farm open from 8.30am to 5pm. Woodlands open from 9am to 1.30pm, then from 2.15pm to 5pm.
- Monday 21, Tuesday 22 & Wednesday 23 December 2026. Farm open from 8.30am to 5pm. Woodlands open from 9am to 1.30pm, then from 2.15pm to 5pm.
- Christmas Eve 24 December 2026. Farm open from 8.30am to 2pm.Woodlands open from 9am to 1.45pm.
When you book tickets, you will be asked to select a timeslot. This timeslot is your estimated time to see Santa, this is not the time you should arrive at the farm. We will be open from 8.30am daily and you are welcome to spend the whole day with us, with the exception of Christmas Eve when we will be closing at 2pm.
Tickets to see Santa are sold in fifteen-minute blocks, meaning the time you see Santa could be fifteen minutes later than the time shown on your ticket.
When the woodlands closes for lunch between 1.30pm and 2.15pm, the rest of the farm will remain open as normal.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, our Christmas event requires pre-booking.
The farm will be open from 8.30am daily. You are welcome to be on the farm all day, with the exception of Christmas Eve when we will be closing at 2pm.
The time on your ticket is for your visit to Santa. Grotto tickets are sold in fifteen minute blocks, meaning your visit to see Santa may be 15 minutes later than the time on the ticket.
Please don't join the queue to visit Santa until the time on your ticket. Please allow at least 30 minutes to get from the entrance to Santa's Woodland Grotto. There is a play area and animals to see on the way, so do take your time and enjoy our facilities.
On Sunday 29 November 2026 and Christmas Eve, the woodlands will be open from 9am to 1.45pm. On every other date, the woodlands will be open from 9am to 1.45pm, plus from 2.15pm to 5pm. There is no limit on the number of times you can enter the woodlands. On arrival, each child will receive a Christmas Passport, which enables them to do each activity once. This includes visiting Santa and choosing a toy from his toyshop, seeing the reindeer, decorating gingerbread with Mrs Claus, making reindeer food and writing a letter to Santa.
Parking is free of charge and does not need to booked in advance.
Registered guide dogs are welcome. Unfortunately we do not allow other dogs on the farm, nor in Antlers Bistro.
No, unfortunately orders cannot be amended once made and tickets are neither refundable, nor transferrable to a different date or time.
On the eleven dates when our Christmas event is running, it is not possible to book general admission to the farm without a Santa visit.
Whilst Santa and his elves have something to eat and warm up their cold toes between 1.30pm and 2.15pm, it's a good opportunity to explore the three outdoor playgrounds, the heated indoor playbarn and the World of Dinosaur Roar! Discovery Trail.
Our site spans 25 acres of safe space for little ones to run around.
The farm will be closing at 2pm on Thursday 24th December 2026.
Yes. Our Christmas event dates are one of the few times when Membership does not offer children free admission to the farm park and woodlands, even if you do not wish to visit Santa or the Woodland Wonderland. Adults with Membership visit free of charge.
No, we will reopen on Saturday 2nd January 2027.
Our paths are suitable for most wheelchairs and pushchairs. Wheelchairs are welcome on the ice rink, in the woodlands and in Santa's Grotto. Regular-sized mobility scooters can be used in the woodlands but unfortunately cannot be taken into Santa's Grotto. Wherever possible, we ask that pushchairs are not taken into Santa's Grotto.
We have Antlers Bistro by the main entrance and the Laughing Donkey Cafe in the playbarn. We will also have a selection of food and drinks, including marshmallow skewers and delicous s'mores for toasting on our fire pit, available from our shack in the woodlands. If you prefer to bring your own food, you are welcome to bring a picnic and will find lots of picnic benches around the farm, as well as by the indoor adventure play area.
There is an option to buy a professional family photograph with Santa (available on the day of your visit only). You're also very welcome to take your own photos if you prefer.
