Our Forest School site is well-equipped with a permanent shelter, drinking water, camping toilets and handwashing facilities, ensuring comfort while embracing outdoor learning and adventure.

Gather around the fire circle, play interactive games to explore the natural environment, create nature-inspired crafts and build dens using woodland materials.
Try your hand at using real woodland tools, test your balance on the rope course and cook delicious treats over the campfire.
Enjoy a picnic surrounded by nature and take time for free play in the woodlands, fostering creativity and confidence in the great outdoors.

Forest School For Home-Educated Children

A wild adventure in learning.

Spark curiosity and creativity with hands-on, nature-based learning in our private woodlands. Designed for home-educated children aged three and over, our regular Forest School sessions offer an immersive outdoor experience where little explorers can discover, play and connect with nature.

Families can take part in the Forest School session and then enjoy a full day at the farm park, making the most of our many attractions. Advance booking is essential.

Woodland Stay & Play

Helping pre-schoolers develop a love of the natural world.

An ideal woodland experience for children aged four and under. Let your imaginations run wild as you experience lots of investigative, child-led play and crafts.

Children will have endless fun making a mess with mud and water, being creative using natural materials, balancing on logs, climbing across ropes and joining in with woodland games.

Forest School-Themed Trips

Inspire curiosity, confidence and independence with a Forest School-themed trip to our private woodlands. Designed for primary school groups, these immersive outdoor experiences encourage imaginative play, problem-solving and hands-on learning in a natural setting.

Give your students the freedom to learn in a way that builds lifelong skills and confidence. Each trip can be tailored to complement your school’s curriculum, making it a perfect way to bring classroom topics to life.

Our Forest School trips usually run from 10am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday during term time. A member of our team greets your group on arrival and guides you down to our dedicated Forest School woodland. The adventure begins with a safety briefing around the campfire before children take part in four engaging Forest School activities, each lasting 30 to 40 minutes.

Training sessions designed for teachers, practitioners and group leaders can be delivered here at Manor Farm Park & Woodlands, where you'll experience hands-on learning in our dedicated Forest School site, or at your own school premises for a more tailored approach.
