Offering a fun and educational day out in nature, Manor Farm Park & Woodlands in East Leake (LE12 6LU) is the perfect destination for primary schools and pre-schools from across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.

Four and a half hours of fun, from 10.00am to 2.30pm.
Includes a private animal petting session and self-led exploration of our farm park.
Additional activities and curriculum-based content is available to pre-book as an optional extra.
Free coach parking and a dedicated space for lunch storage and packed lunch breaks.

Explore and discover! Manor Farm Park & Woodlands provides a hands-on, memorable learning experience for children of all ages combining education, adventure and discovery.

Our school and pre-school trips include access to a variety of animals and exciting attractions:

Visit the Animal Chat Room, Tortoise Room, Main Animal Barn, Hoots Hollows Owl Centre and Hawks & Squawks Falconry Centre.
Watch the animals out in their paddocks.
Play and learn in our playbarn, Nottinghamshire’s largest indoor adventure play centre.
Explore The World of Dinosaur Roar! Discovery Trail, set in our beautiful woodlands.
Enjoy outdoor fun in two adventure playgrounds.

Pricing

One adult is free of charge with every six paying children.

Children aged two and above are £9.95 plus VAT each.

Children under two are £4.95 plus VAT each.
Additional adults are £9.95 plus VAT.

Take your school trip to the next level by adding engaging, interactive experiences that bring classroom topics to life. Our immersive activities spark curiosity and help students develop a deeper understanding of the natural world through exploration and discovery.

Choose from a variety of pre-bookable optional extras, starting from an additional £1 plus VAT per child:

Birds of prey experience – Learn fun facts about these magnificent hunters, with the chance to stroke an owl or even have a bird flown to your hand.
Woodland fun – Choose from a range of nature-based activities including den-making, woodland animal tracking, habitat walks, woodland games and storytelling sessions.

Curriculum Focus

Bring learning to life.

Our themed curriculum sessions offer children the chance to explore key scientific concepts through interactive activities and real-life encounters with animals.

These sessions can be booked as either a half-day or a full-day experience, adding depth and discovery to your visit:

Nocturnal animals & birds – additional £1.50 plus VAT per child. Children will spend time enjoying a range of engaging activities designed to teach them about habitats, sensory adaptation, survival and diet. Includes an opportunity to meet the farm’s nocturnal creatures.
Science session – additional £1.50 plus VAT per child. An exciting session exploring animal habitats, food chains, adaptation, identification and classification of plants and animals, flora and fauna surveys, biodiversity studies, plus germination, pollination and seed dispersal. Includes an opportunity to meet the farm’s many species of birds, reptiles, mammals and invertebrates.

Forest School-Themed Trips

A hands-on introduction to outdoor learning.

Give your students a taste of outdoor adventure with a Forest School taster day, designed to inspire confidence, creativity and a deeper connection with nature.

Our Forest School taster days run from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday during term time. A dedicated team member greets your group on arrival and guides you to our Forest School woodland.

After a safety briefing around the campfire, your adventure begins with four immersive activities, each lasting 30 to 40 minutes. Gather around the fire circle, play games that encourage exploration of the woodlands, create rustic crafts, build dens and test your balance on the rope course. Choose between cooking over the campfire or enjoying a picnic in the woods.

Designed to build confidence, teamwork and self-esteem, these sessions encourage imaginative play and can be themed to align with your school topics.

Pricing:

From £299 plus VAT for up to 30 children aged two years and above.
Additional children are £9.95 plus VAT per child.
Includes one free adult per six paying children.
