Forest School

Currently not running.

Gather around the fire circle, play games to explore the environment, make nature-based crafts, build a den, work with woodland tools, balance on the rope course, cook on the campfire, enjoy a picnic and take time to enjoy free play in the woodlands. Our Forest School site has a permanent shelter, drinking water, camping toilets and hand washing facilities.

Forest School for home-educated children

Currently not running.

Regular Forest School sessions are available in our private woodlands on alternate Thursdays during term-time. Advance booking is essential.

Ideal for home-educated children aged three and over, Forest School takes place from 11am until 2pm, after which time families can enjoy all the facilities of the farm park. Spaces must be booked in advance and are sold in blocks of two or more sessions. Adult supervision is required at all times, but no charge is made for accompanying adults.

Woodland Stay & Play

Currently not running.

An ideal woodland experience to help pre-schoolers develop a love of the natural world. Let your imaginations run wild as you experience lots of investigative, child-led play and crafts. Children will have endless fun making a mess with mud and water, being creative using natural materials, balancing on logs, climbing across ropes and joining in with woodland games.

School Trips

Bring out the best in your group of school children by bringing them to our woodlands and watching them discover the natural world.

Ideal for building confidence, independence and self-esteem, our 'Forest School' themed school trips feature lots of imaginative play and can be tailored to suit your school topics.

A member of our team greets your group on arrival and walks you down to our Forest School woodland. Start the day with a safety briefing around the campfire before the children take part in four Forest School activities lasting around 30-40 minutes each.

Our 'Forest School' themed school trips are available from 10am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday during term time.

Forest school leader training

Currently not running.

We run outdoor learning and forest school training programmes for teachers, practitioners and group leaders. Sessions take place either at Manor Farm Park & Woodlands or on your school premises.
