Rosie |
Born 21st November 1994, Rosie is a Tamworth pig. Along with her brother, Tom, Rosie came from Market Rasen where they had been kept as pets from birth by the farmer's children. When the farmer moved to a sheep farm they were unable to take the pigs with them. He tried all sorts of rescue places until Sherwood Forest Farm Park told him about us. We had to pay the market rate (£250) for them. Rosie's show name is Nettlehamheath Lucky Lass 23. Tom was castrated and hence not registered. Their Sire was Berkswell Royal Standard and Dam Nettlehamheath Lucky Lass 2. They are the same breed as Butch and Sundance who escaped in 1997. Sadly, after a very long illness, Tom died in March 1999. |

Stormin Norman |
Born 27th July 1995, Norman in a Kune Kune pig. He didn't grow to the correct size and consequently his owner, Zoe, had offers from all over the world for him for breeding purposes. However, Zoe felt that there was something genetically wrong and that is was unfair to use him to try and "miniaturise" the breed. She therefore, had him castrated and sold to us as a pet. |

Wilbur |
Born 1st March 1999, Wilbur is a (black) Old English pig. He was rescued from a farm centre where he was very poorly and could not walk. He was taken to a vet and treated for septicaemia. He lived with a dog in the rescuer's porch and enjoyed playing football. When he had recovered he was offered back to the farm centre who said he would go for bacon hence he now lives with us. |
