INTRODUCTION

Our Nature Trail offers a variety of pleasant and interesting walks between the "Upper" Farm and the FORT WILLOW adventure play area. Walks can be varied to suit different tastes and endurance. Before 1992 there was just one tree in this part of the Farm - the rest having been grubbed up to increase food production.

Since then, as part of our conservation programme, we have planted several mixed woodland areas with a wide range of native deciduous trees.

A wild flower meadow borders one side of a small lake, which is home to various wild fowl, amphibians and the smaller creatures of the water. In Spring 2001 a reed bed was planted.
